Emerging from the Noise: Introducing pserkit

butterfly and chrysalis

It’s hard to believe, but this year marks the 30th anniversary of cerkit.com.

For three decades, this name—and my studio—has served as a laboratory. It has been a space for chaotic experimentation, “mad science,” and the relentless pursuit of new sounds. I have loved every minute of that exploration. But if you spend too long in the laboratory, you sometimes forget to leave with a finished product.

Lately, I’ve been navigating a season of deep introspection—a “burning brain” state where the noise of possibilities became overwhelming. I needed a way to cut through that noise. I needed a reset.

A Tale of Two Personas

Today, I am excited to announce the launch of a new artistic identity: pserkit.

If cerkit is the experimentpserkit is the result.

While I will continue to use the “cerkit” handle for my tech projects and abstract sonic sketches, pserkit will be the home for my focused, intentional musical output. This is where I am channeling my energy into cohesive audio-visual journeys, moving away from pure abstraction and toward structured storytelling.

The Sound & The Workflow

This creative shift coincides with a major change in my studio. I have recently moved away from a hardware-heavy setup and returned to the “heart” of the machine: my MacBook, running Bitwig Studio for composition and Apple Logic Pro for mastering.

This streamlined digital environment has allowed me to find the focus I was missing. The constraints of the hardware are gone, replaced by a canvas that demands intentionality.

pserkit explores the intersection of:

  • Berlin School: Hypnotic, sequencer-driven rhythms.
  • Psybient: Deep, driving beats mixed with lush atmospheres.
  • Ambient: Textures designed for introspection and focus.

Join the Journey

I have created a new dedicated section on this site to house this work, and I’ve just released the first track, “Symbiotic Metamorphosis,” which you can hear right now.

I invite you to explore the new sound:

Thank you for sticking with me through 30 years of chaos. I can’t wait to show you what clarity sounds like.
